Digital Crystal event in November

We have decided to postpone the Crystal Prize award to 2021 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

This year, we will organise a digital Crystal event in November, with programming that will correspond closely with the present situation in both form and content. .

Importance of transparent reporting
The coronavirus pandemic presents entrepreneurs such as you with major uncertainties and challenges. It goes without saying that such challenges require flexibility, creativity and perseverance. Even under these tough economic conditions, however, it is vital to have a continuous focus on sustainable development.

The Transparency Benchmark and the Crystal Prize show which businesses ensure transparent reporting on their CSR policy as well as performance and hence encourages social reporting. Increased transparency means that businesses and their stakeholders are more aware of how businesses perform on CSR as well as how CSR ambitions can be connected to the objectives of the enterprise, which promotes a dialogue.

Digital event
The digital event will address the importance of transparent reporting, especially during the coronavirus crisis with its consequences for the economy, businesses and their chains. The date for the event will be Tuesday 17 November 2020. Further details will follow shortly.

Transparency Benchmark 2021
The biannual Transparency Benchmark will once again be prepared as usual in 2021. We will send you an invitation to participate next spring. If all is well, we will again be able to organise a meeting in the physical presence of all the stakeholders by that time. The panel, the Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants (Nederlandse Beroepsorganisatie van Accountants, NBA) as well as the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy will determine the theme for the 2021 Crystal Prize in autumn 2020. We will announce this theme during the digital meeting in November.

More information and contact
The Transparency Benchmark/Crystal Prize is a joint initiative by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy as well as the NBA. This contest is organised by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency.
